More than 100,000 people visit the “Cradle of Switzerland” every year. Royalty, heads of state and government leaders have honoured the Rütli with their presence, as have countless children participating in the classic Swiss school trip.

The Rütlihaus restaurant has always been open for individual guests from Easter to November, but starting in 2015 the new tenant will also be accepting group bookings in the daytime and evenings for corporate events, christenings and wedding receptions and special birthday parties. Another new development sees the Rütli hosting concerts, film viewings, jazz festivals and other cultural events. However, the Rütli will continue to be a calm and tranquil place where people can go to relax, reflect, rest and enjoy the scenery.
