Picnics

Visitors to the Rütli are welcome to bring their own food with them. Picnics are allowed at the tables, on the park benches, on the Rütli meadow and in the large picnic area which can be reached from the Rütlihaus or the flagpole by going past the back of the cowshed. The picnic area has a number of fireplaces with firewood available, and a drinking fountain and tables to welcome guests. The Rütlihaus also offers barbecue ingredients for sale. The strategy for dealing with litter on the Rütli is a simple one: everyone must take their rubbish back home with them. This ensures that all visitors can share the same undiminished enjoyment of the Rütli.

Webcam

Thanks to the webcam above the Rütli meadow, you can virtually visit the cradle of the Swiss Confederation at any time.
